How to use the Image Watermark

  1. Upload the photo you want to protect.
  2. Choose a text watermark (for example "ยฉ Your Name") or upload your logo.
  3. Adjust size, opacity, colour, rotation and position, or turn on "Tile" to repeat it.
  4. Download the watermarked image.

Why watermark your images?

Photographers, designers, online sellers and content creators use watermarks to discourage unauthorised copying and to make sure their name travels with their work when it's shared. A watermark is also free advertising: everyone who sees your image sees your brand.

Subtle or strong?

A small, semi-transparent watermark in a corner keeps the photo looking clean but is easy to crop out. A tiled watermark across the whole image is much harder to remove, which is useful for previews of work you sell. An opacity of 30โ€“50% is a good balance.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Switch to "Logo" and upload a PNG. A PNG with a transparent background looks best.

Will the watermark reduce image quality?

No. The image keeps its original resolution. You can download as PNG for lossless output, or as JPG for a smaller file.

Can someone remove my watermark?

No watermark is impossible to remove, but a tiled, semi-transparent watermark over the main subject makes removal very difficult and time-consuming.
