How to use the Wi-Fi QR Code Generator
- Type your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears on your devices, including capital letters.
- Enter the password and pick the security type (almost always WPA/WPA2/WPA3).
- Customise the colours or add your logo if you like.
- Download as PNG or SVG and print it for your home, café, office or Airbnb.
How Wi-Fi QR codes work
The QR code stores your network name, password and security type in a standard format that phone cameras understand. On iPhone (iOS 11+) and Android (10+), opening the camera and pointing it at the code shows a "Join network" prompt. One tap and they're connected.
The code is created in your browser, so your Wi-Fi password is never sent to us or stored anywhere.
Ideas for using it
Frame it in your living room or guest room, put it on café tables and reception desks, include it in Airbnb welcome guides, or add it to event signage. Print it at least 3×3 cm (1.2 in) so it scans easily from arm's length.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I change my Wi-Fi password?
The QR code contains the old password, so it stops working. Just generate and print a new one.
Is it safe to share Wi-Fi with a QR code?
Anyone who scans it can join your network, the same as telling them the password. For businesses, consider a separate guest network.
My network is hidden. Will it work?
Yes. Tick "Hidden network" so phones know to search for it.
