How to use the PNG to JPG
- Drop your PNG files into the box.
- Adjust JPG quality (80% is a good default) and the background colour for transparent pixels.
- Download your JPG files individually or as a ZIP.
Why convert PNG to JPG?
PNG photos and screenshots can be several megabytes. Converting them to JPG often shrinks them by 70โ90%, which makes them easier to email, upload to forms with size limits or share on messaging apps. JPG is also the most widely supported image format, accepted by virtually every website, printer and app.
What about transparent backgrounds?
JPG doesn't support transparency. Any transparent areas in your PNG are filled with the background colour you choose, white by default. If you need to keep transparency and still want a small file, convert to WebP instead.
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose quality converting PNG to JPG?
JPG is lossy, but at 80โ90% quality the difference is very hard to see for photos. Text-heavy screenshots may show slight blurring around letters; use a higher quality for those.
Can I convert many PNGs at once?
Yes, drop as many as you like and use "Download all (ZIP)".
What background colour should I choose?
White suits most documents and websites. Choose a colour that matches where the image will be placed.
